Evan Almighty
Many of you might think that it's just another comedy.
Yet.. It changed my life perspective as well as my christian faith.
Evan almighty is, in fact, a sequel to the 2003 film, Bruce Almighty.
Newly elected to Congress, moved to a new gigantic house and a great wonderful family with 3 kids and a beautiful wife. How envious and perfect can it be?
How many people out there are willing to give up these things and listen to the tiny voice of God?
Evan didnt believe in the calling initially. But, when all the miracles happened, he began to start the work of God- to build the ARK
He got suspended from work after he told everyone that GOd asked him to build an Ark. His wife and 3 kids left for her mother's place upon seeing the news report, leaving him to build the Ark alone.
Weeks later, God appeared to Evan's wife. This was what he said: " God does not give things, He gives the opportunity to get things". For example: God does not give family togetherness, He gives the opportunity for families to get together.
So, she, together with the 3 kids returned and joined Evan to complete the Ark.
The day finally came. Evan told the people to get onboard the Ark but nobody listened. "Is God really going to send down flood?" If there's the case, why God wanna destroy the world? Evan did not but did as what God had told him to do. Everything God does, He meant good for His people.
True enough, God loves His children. He did not send down floods, but He was, in fact, trying to save the people. The poorly built dam burst. Down came the flood.
Everyone was saved by the Ark.
Very often, people question the works of God. Why did God want me to forego this career? Why did not God bless me with a job in XXX (some well-known) company? Why Why Why
God has His own plans. Everything He does, they are All for our own good. Listen and obey. Who has expected the dam to burst and cause flood? Nobody except God.
